I use a lot of open-source software in my work as a landscape architect and ecologist, especially R, QGIS, GDAL, Imagemagick (and would like to learn Blender), as well as bits of PERL and some regex. So I’ll mainly write about working with some of these here as they come up, but sometimes I'll dive off into nature photography and books (esp. ecology and CliFi).
